The Beach Institute neighborhood is an architectural and cultural gem. Beautiful historic homes line the lush, green streets and the atmosphere is vibrant and creative. Our home is located on a tranquil tree-lined street in a quiet and residential area. Nearby are many points of interest including Crawford Square, Flannery O’Connor’s childhood home, and the Beach Institute African American Cultural Center.
Getting around Savannah from our home is a breeze! We are less than a mile from downtown and River Street, a 15-20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. Uber is also a convenient way to get around, and Savannah is a bike-friendly city with plenty of rental outlets.

There was just enough space for 13 adults and two toddlers, with plenty of room in the main house’s kitchen and living areas for everyone to gather, relax, and enjoy quality time together. Jay was responsive both leading up to and throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. We did experience a small issue with the refrigerator, but Jay and his team responded promptly the following morning and provided bags of ice while they worked to address the issue. We really appreciated the hospitality, Jay! I’d definitely consider booking the carriage house again for a smaller group or even a solo getaway.”
