The location
We’re located in the Irish Channel / Uptown area, on Tchoup, which is arguably the nicest area of New Orleans. In our immediate area and within close walking distance are some of the best restaurants and bars in New Orleans. We’re a short Uber from the French Quarter, but there is no shortage of things to do in our immediate area. All guests after booking will receive a list of recommendations including locals favorite spots, restaurants, and activities. We will provide detailed information and guides on the surrounding area to enhance your overall experience.
Getting around
Getting around New Orleans from our home is a breeze! Uber is also a convenient way to get around, and NoLa is a bike-friendly city with plenty of rental outlets. For the car lover, we have 2 sedan-sized off-street parking spaces available (or 1 larger vehicle), and free on-street parking is available. Please note that our home is located right on New Orleans' standard parade route, which is great for observing parades, but it makes getting around more difficult during Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day, and other parade-heavy holidays. The “on-street parking” amenity is limited on most major holidays. Please pay close attention to posted street signage and obey all parking rules. Additionally, during parades, getting around is more difficult; please allow for more time to get to your travel destination if going by car, or simply walk and enjoy the spectacle! We also ask that if you require a visit from our maintenance or property management teams during parades, please allow us more time as we also need to obey road closures and detours.

“This is a beautiful AirBnb. Our family enjoyed cooking together and eating in the large dining room. It was also fun to play jazz music from the TV/Pandora in the living room. The place has ambience with a true NOLA feel. We walked to the street car on St. Charles Street and took ride shares as needed. It was nice not to be too close to the French Quarter for a neighborhood New Orleans experience. Of the seven of us who stayed here, only one person in the front bedroom on the top floor was bothered by the train. His daughter in the same room said it didn't wake her up at all. I recommend if you have any light sleepers have them sleep in one of the other three bedrooms for the best sleep for everyone. Otherwise, the air conditioner is amazing and does a great job keeping everything cool and their are plenty of restrooms so everyone was accomodated as they needed to shower, etc...throughout our stay. Totally recommend this AirBnB for your stay.”

“This review is for the 4- bedroom home on Tchoupitoulas St. My family of five stayed here for the weekend of a family celebration. It was a great location for us to get to all of our wedding venues, and to restaurants and grocery stores. The only down side of the location was the train that rain all night. I adjusted after the second night, so it didn’t wake me as often. The home was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room for all of us to move around and to relax. We had all that we needed in the bathrooms and kitchen. Having room to park two cars off the street behind a gate was also very nice. The only reason I gave four stars is that there continued to be a communication problem from Heirloom Stays leading up to and during our stay. They had needed to cancel our original reservation because of a licensing problem, so we were offered this home. However, I continued to receive information on the original home, which made things very confusing. Fortunately it all worked out.”
