The First Floor holds the open concept living and dining area, the kitchen, and one bedroom with its own ensuite full bathroom. Most guests find it part of the neighborhood's charm, but if anyone in your group is a light sleeper, we recommend the rear bedrooms, which are the quietest in the house. Our home sits in Uptown New Orleans, on the stretch of Tchoupitoulas where the city feels lived in rather than visited. Corner bars, breweries, and neighborhood restaurants are close at hand, and Magazine Street's shops and galleries run parallel just a few blocks up. The Irish Channel begins nearby, with its shotgun cottages and Victorian millwork, and the Garden District's oak lined streets and antebellum mansions are a short trip east. All guests receive a list of local recommendations after booking, including favorite spots, restaurants, and activities.
Getting around New Orleans from here is easy. Rideshare is readily available, and the city is bike friendly with rental outlets throughout. The St. Charles streetcar line is a short trip away for a ride into the Central Business District and the edge of the French Quarter. Three mid-size off street parking spaces are available at the home, or one larger vehicle, with free on street parking nearby. One thing to plan for: this home sits on a standard New Orleans parade route. Watching the floats roll past is a real treat, though moving around the city takes longer during Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's Day, and other parade heavy holidays. On those days, give yourself extra time if you are driving, or leave the car behind and enjoy the spectacle on foot.

“We had a great stay! The Airbnb was in a fantastic location and spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our party of eight. It was conveniently located near grocery stores and just minutes from Bourbon Street. The beds were comfortable, and the sheets were clean. The host provided toiletries, as well as pots and pans, which made our stay even more convenient. Most importantly, the host was very responsive and always available to assist us, regardless of the time of day. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again!”

“This is a beautiful AirBnb. Our family enjoyed cooking together and eating in the large dining room. It was also fun to play jazz music from the TV/Pandora in the living room. The place has ambience with a true NOLA feel. We walked to the street car on St. Charles Street and took ride shares as needed. It was nice not to be too close to the French Quarter for a neighborhood New Orleans experience. Of the seven of us who stayed here, only one person in the front bedroom on the top floor was bothered by the train. His daughter in the same room said it didn't wake her up at all. I recommend if you have any light sleepers have them sleep in one of the other three bedrooms for the best sleep for everyone. Otherwise, the air conditioner is amazing and does a great job keeping everything cool and their are plenty of restrooms so everyone was accomodated as they needed to shower, etc...throughout our stay. Totally recommend this AirBnB for your stay.”
