New Orleans, Louisiana, United States
The Bywater neighborhood is known for its food as well as Southern hospitality. This hip, yet quiet neighborhood is the kind of place where neighbors say hello to one another and gather together to watch the Mardi Gras parades each year. The Crescent Park Trail is close by, which runs parallel to the Mississippi, and offers a great place to walk or run in the morning. With its close proximity to the French Quarter and no shortage of bars and restaurants on St. Claude, this is the perfect location to soak up everything NOLA has to offer. All guests after booking will receive a personalized list of recommendations including locals favorite spots, restaurants, and activities. We will provide detailed information and guides on the surrounding area to enhance your overall experience.
New Orleans is a compact city, which makes getting around a breeze in an Uber or Lyft. The French Quarter is an 8-10 minute drive away, which will never run you more than $10 (which is even more affordable when you split it with your group!). Biking is a convenient option as there are plenty of rental shops nearby. This is a walkable neighborhood -- take a stroll along gorgeous Crescent Park on your way to the French Quarter.

“We had a great New Orleans experience during the two+ months that we rented this space with a rotating group of friends–mostly four in the party but occasionally rising to seven. The house is huge. It is a converted double shotgun that has been gutted, remodeled and expanded, with a huge kitchen, four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, two refrigerators and washer and dryers, 3-4 living and other rooms, extremely high ceilings and a great backyard. The host were extremely helpful and responsive–replacing the dishwasher when it malfunctioned. Likewise the pots and pans when we objected to their condition. In fact, anytime we had a problem or needed something they were quick to respond. Also, as part of the rental agreement they provided coffee, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc. Altogether, we would highly recommend.”
“Great location, beautiful, comfortable charming home. Definitely a corporate rental property not a real home someone has lived in and loved, but oh well. However, the hosts were trying to sell the house while we were staying, and wanted to bring in people to tour, it, insurance inspectors, etc. We told them we weren't comfortable with that, they wouldn't take no for an answer. Absolutely unacceptable behavior, and a clear violation of AirBnB policy. We had to escalate to AirBnB support to get them to stop. Would not ever recommend staying with Heirloom.”
“We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house is huge and has everything you need, central AC works perfectly, and the backyard is lovely. The beds are super comfortable, and the host was extremely responsive and accommodating. We will definitely be back!”
“Here is the revised version with no dashes: ⸻ We had a great stay in New Orleans with this house as our anchor. It had everything we needed for our five week visit, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We sank into them every night and I had some of the best, most dreamless sleep ever. When we arrived, there were a few minor items that needed attention, and the host had everything resolved within six hours of us reaching out. Nothing was urgent, but they still handled it quickly and communicated very well throughout. There is a train nearby, but we brought a white noise machine for our bedroom and it completely drowned out the sound so it never bothered us at night. We also loved how walkable the neighborhood was. We could easily get to great restaurants like 337 by Chef Tiger, with the ribeye being a must try. We also visited St. Coffee for our morning coffee and spent time at our favorite local bar Pepps. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to New Orleans.”
“This was a very clean place! The house was very roomy and had enough beds for our large party! Sonny was great and kept us very informed! Great stay!”
“Me and my family loved Sonny’s place! It was a beautiful stay in a pretty nice location not far from the French quarter and bourbon street. It was absolutely beautiful as pictured! The outside deck was such a nice area to relax! The rooms don’t have tvs in them but they are nice and spacious. It was clean and comfortable. It is a little loud in the area because a train is right by but if you’re a deep sleeper you won’t hear it, it only bothered my parents. Overall we really did enjoy this place and would definitely recommend it to anyone it was very spacious and could fit a good size family anyone would enjoy it!”
