The location
Even though Savin Hill is part of Boston’s biggest neighborhood, it is sometimes overlooked by other Bostonians. Those of us who know about the area’s historic buildings, art galleries, bars, and restaurants are not in a hurry to tell everybody else. Savin Hill is a vibrant mix of young professionals and artists, close enough to downtown to make getting around Boston a breeze, but with enough happening in your immediate environs that you don’t need to go far to discover why our neighborhood is truly a hidden gem. All guests after booking will receive a personalized list of recommendations including locals favorite spots, restaurants, and activities. We will provide detailed information and guides on the surrounding area to enhance your overall experience.
Getting around
The JFK/UMass subway station is a 12 minute walk from our home. From there, the Red Line will take you directly into the heart of Boston in minutes. The nearest Hubway bicycle rental location is less than a five minute walk away. There are also several private transportation options at your disposal (Uber/Lyft, Zipcar). If you do plan on driving, please note that parking is limited at this location -- please message us if you have questions about where you can park your vehicle.

“We checked in on Tues October 28, occupying 1 (upstairs) of 2 suites on the property, staying through Monday, Nov 3. The property itself was wonderful. We’d been communicating with ‘Charlie’ who was responsive and helpful. On Saturday morning another party checked in to the 1st floor/downstairs property. After that, we started receiving texts and phone calls (11:48p, 4:21a, 5:02a, and 5:03a) at obnoxious times, while sleeping, accusing us of violating noise ordinances. Seems the noise monitoring device was picking up noise from the other party in the downstairs location. This caused a great deal of angst with our group, particularly given the offensive times we received calls and text, and the content ‘if the noise is not cured within 30 minutes, I will dispatch staff to the property……….” The calls and texts came from what seems to be a management company in New Orleans, from Maria and Jose, not a property owner named Charlie. Ruined our experience.”

“we stayed at Charlie's for 10 days we had a family gathering the house was fantastic open plan with lots of room for everyone. walking distance to restaurants and Public transportation 10 mins from downtown Boston. Charlie was very responsive with any questions I had. I would highly recommend this Air B&B and Charlie was the perfect host.”

“This was a fantastic place to stay for a large group. We had 7 people in our party and everyone had their own beautifully decorated bedroom. The kitchen and living room/dining room was one large comfortable space for everyone to gather. The beds were incredibly comfortable and kitchen fully stocked. The whole place is just beautifully designed. Charlie was extremely responsive and helpful anytime there was a question. We all loved this place and it greatly added to our stay in Boston!”
