Even though Savin Hill is part of Boston’s biggest neighborhood, it is sometimes overlooked by other Bostonians. Those of us who know about the area’s historic buildings, art galleries, bars, and restaurants are not in a hurry to tell everybody else. Savin Hill is a vibrant mix of young professionals and artists, close enough to downtown to make getting around Boston a breeze, but with enough happening in your immediate environs that you don’t need to go far to discover why our neighborhood is truly a hidden gem. All guests after booking will receive a personalized list of recommendations including locals favorite spots, restaurants, and activities. We will provide detailed information and guides on the surrounding area to enhance your overall experience.
The Savin Hill subway station is within walking distance. From Savin Hill, the Red Line will take you directly into the heart of Boston in minutes. The nearest Hubway bicycle rental location is less than a five minute walk away. There are also several private transportation options at your disposal (Uber/Lyft, Zipcar). If you do plan on driving, our street offers free on-street parking.

“We stayed in units 2 and 3. It's a nice, comfortable place. The beds are comfortable, there's plenty of room and seating, and the kitchens and bathrooms are well stocked. It's close to two train stations on the red line (JFK/UMass and Savin Hill) so it was easy to walk to one of those and catch the train to wherever we needed to go. We liked the decks for additional space to hang out. A few things to be aware of: We knew there would be stairs, but they are narrow, have sharp turns with small steps, and do not have a handrail the entire way up. It was difficult for a member of our party with mobility issues. The air conditioning in unit 2 worked great but in unit 3 (the top floor) it struggled to keep up with the July heat, often staying in the low 80s and making it uncomfortable to sleep. Both units also need basic maintenance.”
“Very convenient setup for a large group. The building is essentially a triplex, with the two upper units able to exist as two separate apartments with their own living rooms and kitchens. The combination of bedrooms over the two floors, with single beds, two beds, and bunk beds worked well for distributing adults and kids. Clean, well furnished, attractive. Photos are accurate. We were concerned about finding overnight street parking on the first night, but ultimately did just fine finding parking spots in street in front of house every night during our 4 nights there. The fairly close proximity to central Boston made it convenient to go out on excursions. Would definitely rent again if looking for space for a large group.”
“Very clean and spacious. Easy to find parking close on the street. Good location”
“Sidney’s place is conveniently close to the city. Free street parking is a huge plus in the Boston area, even though spots aren't guaranteed. The apartment is clean and well-stocked with supplies. Sidney is an incredibly responsive host; when we reached out about a few minor issues, she had someone come over and make them right the very next day. The bunk beds are comfortable, too. Note: The 3rd floor has all the essentials, though the ceilings are lower. It serves as an extension of the 2nd floor, which features a large, comfortable living area.)”
“Awesome place ! The FDNY Baseball team had a very great weekend at the home!! Will book again when we come back!”
“The place was probably as close to perfect as i’ve ever had using Airbnb. Tons of space, beautiful, maintained well. Helped make for a fantastic trip!”
