The Marigny is a friendly and laid-back area, rated as one of the top 10 hippest neighborhoods in the country by The New Yorker. You will be in the middle of the Marigny/Bywater buzz, and about a 30-minute stroll (a very nice one) to the heart of the downtown French Quarter. But you don't need to go far to discover why this neighborhood is a hidden gem -- there is no shortage of bars and restaurants on St. Claude.
The best way to get around is by foot, bike, taxi, or Uber. For cycling enthusiasts, New Orleans is a very bikeable city, and there are several rental and tour companies in close proximity. The Marigny and Bywater are both within walking distance, and other hotspots such as the French Quarter and Frenchmen and Magazine Street are a short car ride away.

“If you’re visiting New Orleans and you want to be near everything, this is the place to stay. The longest distance we were from an attraction we wanted to visit was about 15 minutes away. This place was beautiful and beyond met our expectations. Whenever I decide to visit New Orleans again with a group, this is the only place I will be staying.”
“Our group really enjoyed our stay here. The bedrooms were a great size, the kitchen, dining, and living rooms were all big enough for 8 of us to hang out comfortably. The pool area outside was nice too. The neighborhood was walkable to a few different coffee shops and a cute food market, plus close enough to get rides to the French Quarter. I think the stay itself has seen many Airbnb guests so leaving the host with a few notes on what can be updated. No dealbreakers, just finishing touches around the house.”

“This Airbnb was the perfect location for our bachelorette trip. It was extremely close to Bourbon Street and a lot of the events that we have planned for the trip. We appreciated the earlier check-in, the beds were comfortable, and the home is beautiful . I only have a few criticisms of our stay: 1) we received notification that someone will be coming to clean the pool but the pool person did not come until two days later, which surprised the girls enemy as the orchestrator; 2) one of the bathrooms toilets was nonfunctional, and we contacted the host immediately when we determined that it was nonfunctional, I was called to do some troubleshooting tips, and when those did not work, I was told they would let me know next steps… and then without any advanced notice, someone showed up at the house, right when we were about to leave, to look at the toilet, and unfortunately did not resolve the problem, but we didn’t call back because we weren’t going to be there.”
