Welcome to your own carriage house tucked behind a 19th century Victorian, a hideaway for up to 4 guests with 2 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms plus a half bath. Pour something at the wet bar, swim in the heated saltwater shared pool, then come back to a vaulted second floor crossed with heart pine beams, where a black spiral stair winds up to the bedroom above. Forsyth Park is a ten minute walk away.

The space
This property sits on a lot with a main house at the street and this carriage house behind it. This listing is for the carriage house only, and the two are rented separately, so another group may be staying in the main house during your stay. The pool and patio are shared between both. The carriage house is reached by a wooden pathway from the street and rises across three floors, with the living area and wet bar on the First Floor, the kitchen and dining area on the Second Floor beneath a vaulted beamed ceiling, and a bedroom on each of the upper two floors. From the street, there is one step up at the door, then a wooden pathway leads toward the back of the property, with a step down at the end of it. A short walk farther brings you to the entrance of the carriage house, where there is one more step up. Fifteen steps connect the First and Second Floor, with a hand rail along the right hand wall, and a spiral staircase of thirteen steps continues to the Third Floor. Each shower has a step up at the entrance. HOUSE DISCLOSURES -We try our best to accommodate early check-ins, but we want to ensure the entirety of the home is clean and prepared for arrival. We can often accommodate early bag drop for your convenience. Please inquire if this is of interest to your group. -The pool and patio are shared with guests staying in the main house. -The pool is typically heated from Labor Day through Memorial Day. -The patio is fenced, but there is no fence immediately surrounding the pool. Children should be supervised at all times. -Please keep noise to a respectful level out of consideration for our neighbors. The Savannah noise ordinance begins at 9pm. BUSINESS DISCLAIMERS –We have a minimum age requirement for booking this rental. Reservation holder must be 21 years or older. –We request that guests complete a guest verification process and sign an additional agreement prior to receiving any check-in information. –We require that guests provide a valid credit card and piece of ID for identification purposes only. –We do not accept peer-to-peer payment systems or any prepaid debit cards as methods of payment. –Pets are not allowed at this property. –Mailing packages to the premises is not permitted. –We use Arlo/Hikvision and Noise Aware in our homes. Arlo/Hikvision is a video recording system that has been installed at the front/back doors of the home's EXTERIOR ONLY, for your safety. NoiseAware is a decibel monitoring system that we use to keep in accordance with local noise regulations.

Our home sits in the Victorian District, a remarkable stretch of lovingly preserved 19th century architecture just south of Savannah's Landmark Historic District. Forsyth Park is a ten minute walk away, with its 1858 fountain and the Forsyth Farmers' Market held at the south end every Saturday. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, with bars, restaurants, and coffee shops close at hand and the squares, museums, and riverfront of downtown a little farther on. All guests receive a list of local recommendations after booking, including favorite spots, restaurants, and activities.
Getting around
This is a walkable part of Savannah, with short blocks and Forsyth Park a ten minute walk away. The city is bike friendly with rental outlets widely available, and rideshare is easy to find. There is no off street parking with this listing, but free on street parking is available on the street in front of the property. Please pay close attention to posted street signs, particularly street cleaning hours, which vary from street to street and are enforced.

“The carriage house is beautifully decorated and extremely well appointed. Kitchen is very well stocked. The beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms are lovely. Having the small pool and bbq area was a real bonus. We had a couple of issues as we booked for 5 including a child but this is a 2 bedroom 2 bed house only. The hosts were very responsive and worked hard to resolve the matter.”
