Our home is located in Tremé, one of the oldest and most culturally rich neighborhoods in New Orleans, known for its Creole architecture, brass bands, and deep musical history. Dooky Chase's Restaurant, the legendary Creole dining room made famous by Leah Chase, is just down the street, and Willie Mae's Scotch House, known for some of the best fried chicken in the city, is a few blocks away. The Lafitte Greenway is a short walk from the front door and connects Tremé to Bayou St. John, Mid-City, and City Park, while the French Quarter, Bywater, and Magazine Street are all within easy reach. All guests will receive a list of recommendations after booking, including local favorite spots, restaurants, and activities.
The best way to get around is on foot, by bike, or by Uber. The French Quarter is a 3 to 5 minute ride away. The Lafitte Greenway offers a lit walking and biking path toward Bayou St. John and City Park, and several bike rental companies operate nearby. Free street parking is available on the block and surrounding streets. There is no off street parking, so please observe posted signs for street cleaning and restricted zones.
